Morganfield's, Pavilion - "Money can't buy me love, but can buy me Pork Ribs!"

ATTENTION PORK LOVERS!!!
If you have been craving for meat (specifically PORK), this is the place for ya! :)

Located in Pavilion KL, 4th floor; Morganfield's is a restaurant famous for their pork ribs. There is also an outlet in Penang Paragon Mall, so food lovers from Penang can also give it a try! This isn't my first visit but the photographer, Ms. Kelly Momma's, first visit here.

The restaurant is divided into 3 different areas:

The bar, right by the entrance, and also the smoking area.

The regular dining area, right after the bar. Notice the traditional wine cellar design on the right.
And the family dining area, which is filled with random family photos and a warmer, family-like table design.
If you haven't notice already, the mirrors on the higher parts the wall (around the bar area) are kinda, well, covered with dirt, and on the ceiling, exposed pipes and ventilation can be seen. There's also this really old, somewhat broken jukebox somewhere in the bar area (not pictured) as well. The owner actually designed and bought these to give the restaurant a retro and rustic vibe. In my humble opinion, it is quite brilliant, given the effort and  refreshing experience.

Annnnnddddd here comes the food!

Smoked House Club Salad (RM 21.90)
It was filled with LOADS of ingredients such as the crispy pork bacon bits (paradise), grilled chicken, capsicum, cheese (ask for extra!), the usual mixed salad and so on, accompanied by their house dressing. Truly a club salad!

I actually wanted the B.L.T Salad but they were out of stock! Boo. I'd been there a couple of times and never had the chance to try that signature salad and but heard many good comments around. Shame. That aside, the club salad is quite good and due to the rather generous portion, both of us decided to hold back a little for the upcoming dishes.

Next up: Russell Potato Skins! (RM 14.90)
This has always been my favorite ever since I first had it in Tony Roma's years ago. Unfortunately, the potato skins today were saltier than usual - even Ms. Kelly agrees. She ate only one because, and I quote, "fat", so I had to destroy the rest.

And here comes the main act *angels sing*:

The 'Sticky Bones' - The Hickory Wood-smoked Pork Ribs - Half Slab (RM 38.90)
With a serving of a bright, appetizing brown slab of well grilled meat, creamy coleslaw and golden deep-fried French Fries on the side, the Sticky Bones is a lovely meal indeed. The portion is huge... Seriously HUGE! It gives out an aroma of wood-smoked BBQ and has a smooth, chewy, yet soft texture. It gives a mouthful feeling of a meaty flavor and lingers in the mouth, keep me begging for more! This must be what the world is calling the fifth basic taste - Umami. Ah, who says money can't buy me love?

We ordered the set lunch since it's the same price with the a la carte but comes with a complimentary soft drink and a soup or salad of your choice. We went with the soup which turns out to be way too salty for me, but fine for the lady. Little did she know that the Wild Mushroom Soup from House Restaurant, which we will visit later in the evening will blow her mind.

And here is something that got Ms. Kelly absolutely insane; she just wouldn't shut up about it, even during our recent conversation:

The Cooler/Mocktail: Virgin Apple Mojito! (RM 13.90)
Apple and mint can never go wrong. A sweet, sour sensation with a hint of mint, it is the best cooler/mocktail that can easily quench your thirst during a warm summer day.

This drink has always been one of my favorites, so I introduced it to Ms. Kelly... and I immediately regretted my decision. Throughout the meal, regardless of what we were talking about, she would randomly point at the Mojito, and gives me a nod with big thumbs up. It was funny before it gets really annoying later.

And this concludes the very first entry of the blog! We didn't manage to order any dessert as Ms. Kelly had a smaller stomach than I expected. To sum it up, Morganfield's offered really great ambiance, quality food & beverages and comfortable services with reasonable pricing. Their pork dishes are exceptionally satisfying. Some of the dishes like the mushroom soup and potato skins though are disappointing.

However, I'll definitely be visiting Morganfield's again SOON for their Pork Shoulder Steaks, Chicken Roulette, Wagyu Beef Steak and also desserts!
