LG Entrance |
Previously known as '
Social@KL' or '
Social KL',
House is an ambiance based restaurant with a modern, wooden concept in its design.
Located in
Hotel G Tower at Jalan Tun Razak, it is divided into
4 different areas; the regular dining area, the winepost, the bar & the open air area.
|
The regular dining area at G floor. |
|
The wine post, with a long table (not pictured) & beautiful lighting. |
|
The bar - they were still setting up so the rack seems a little empty. |
|
And the open air area, right next to the bar. |
There is also a private dining room near the kitchen window, which is on the same floor as the bar.
And here comes the food & beverages:
|
Yes, again, the Virgin Apple Mojito! (RM 13.90) |
In my humble opinion, this is
better than the one in Morganfield's. Not only the presentation but also flavor wise. The refreshing combination of mint & apple simply makes this exotic cooler, well, even more EXOTIC! Making it
the most ideal choice just before or even in the middle of a meal. "Stop exaggerating," you may think, but give it a go when you have the chance and you will realize what you've missed!
|
Berries Booster! (RM 14.90) |
This is a smoothie that all the
berries lovers will die for! It consist of varieties of berries such as strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, etc. Some said that it tasted like cough syrup, but I don't find it that way and loves it regardless of the fact that I'm not a huge berry fan.
|
Long Island Tea (RM 26.90) |
As for the Long Island Tea, I was the one who recommended it to Ms. Kelly since ladies usually love it, but it is hardly to my liking. It is the regular one so nothing much to comment on the flavor, but I probably wouldn't spend a whooping RM26.90 for this.
|
Wild Mushroom Soup in Cappuccino Style! (RM 15.90) |
I can never forget when I first saw the price tag on this a couple of years back - RM 15.90 for a friggin' mushroom soup?! Well I was still a young filly back then and wasn't a big fan of soup, so I was thinking that the same money could be better spent elsewhere... That is until I met this lovely thing - It was love at first bite.
The best mushroom soup in Malaysia for me, thus far.
Accompanied with a well baked, full flavored garlic bread and topped with foam and cocoa powder, this
signature mushroom soup could easily be mistaken for a cup of cappuccino. The moment it goes into your mouth, you'll experience bits and pieces of mushrooms swimming around in your mouth, along with a cheesy but not over dominating flavor. Basically, it's a dish that
mushroom lovers would be too ashamed to miss!
|
Slow Cooked 16 Hours Wagyu Beef Cheek! (RM 69.90) |
One of the
signature mains of House. The meat is
well-braised and
tender, bedded on a
truffle mash and accompanied with root vegetables. Taking a bite of the meat along with the mash, is nothing more satisfying! Well it isn't the best meat out there but for that price, it's more than worthy.
Unfortunately, these are all the items we ordered that night as it was quite an early dinner after Morganfield's. We couldn't stuff in any dessert though I know that they have superb desserts such as their
homemade Tiramisu,
Apple-almond Crumble Tart and
Hazelnut Feuilletine.

Ms. Kelly Momma & I; despite of my half-dead expression, it was a great outing! -.- |
House restaurant is a really great place to
chill out and have a
relaxing dinner with a few friends. They have
amazing ambiance,
quality food with a
decent price. However, they are
slightly lacking in the service department. And another concern is that there are
mosquitoes flying around the place and you'll definitely have the 'pleasure' of their company if you're sitting around the LG area during nighttime. Anyhow, just give it a try (especially their mushroom soup!) when you have the time! :)
